It was a good day pals. Been a good weekend thus far. Unexpected windfalls abound.
On the more prosaic side of things:
1. Just had the excellent brisket "burger" at Fox Bros bbq. Finally some decent bbq in Atlanta. The brisket has improved dramatically since they opened and they top it with bacon, pimento cheese and jalapeno mayo. It is huge and obscene. I wish I had another right now.
2.Almost through with the Oliver Sacks book on music and the brain. Long but fascinating read.
3. Been really enjoying Joe Henry's *Trampoline*. It's not new by any means but it is relatively new to me, and it took a few listens to truly reveal its colors. But it's good stuff. You have to be in its mood though. Also, been spending a lot of time with some of Beethoven's string quartets.
