2. Finished reading the Houellebecq and have lots of thoughts about it--so many ideas he has! some so wrong!--and have moved on to reading Oliver Sacks's Musicophilia. Fascinating stories about music and the brain that impress upon me how little we understand. How, contra Houellebecq, we are still at the beginning. Shit is wondrous, we just can't remember.
3. Saw this from Beckett's Worstward Ho: “Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try Again. Fail again. Fail better.”
4. Still muddled. Quite. But failing better, that's an inspirational goal.
