8/5/07: the month that was

Take a deep breath.

Quite a month. Thirty-six is drawing to a close in fine fashion. We moved to a new place that we like much better and is financially advantageous to boot. We went to London and enjoyed some great company and wedding festivities. Two weeks later we headed to Tennessee for another very enjoyable wedding and a trip to see friends old and new. We got home and I headed right back to work and several days of intense studying and topped it off by obtaining my trainer certification. Whew.

The best part of it was seeing old friends of course. Seeing two of them get married to great women (one each) was especially enjoyable. And I was awfully fortunate to get to be a part of both weddings. In London I got to make some new friends I truly hope to see again. In Tennessee I got to see some folks I hadn't seen in too long. Between Knoxville and Nashville I don't think I've ever had such a good time in Tennessee. Thanks everybody!

Now I can settle down for a few weeks and work at paying all the traveling and partying off. Thirty-seven is in the mail and will arrive in a couple of weeks. Festivities will be low-key I think, but will probably start next weekend so I can stretch it out a bit. At the end of the month I'll be headed to Philly so my Sweetie can meet the family and see the ancestral homeland. Off on the horizon is a trip to Florida in the fall to celebrate a good friend's birthday, so there's lots to do and lots to look forward to. More of the usual bloggy stuff to come in the days ahead.
