Pasaquan part 2

(scroll down for part 1)

Brightly painted walls with lots of sculptural elements surround the main house at Pasaquan. Many are topped with concrete snakes.

The climate of south Georgia is clearly taking a toll on Pasaquan. The Pasaquan Preservation Society has quite a task on their hands.

Some of the work Martin did at Pasaquan is a little creepy. I don't know much about the nature of his religious vision--he called Pasaquan "a place where the past, the present, the future, and everything else all come together." He said he had been chosen by mysterious figures from the future to relate a vision of a peaceful and beautiful future that might come to pass. But these two figures seem to be carrying decapitated heads.
