So a couple weeks ago br'er Bunni, the lovely Ms. Becky, and I headed south to Buena Vista Georgia to visit Pasaquan, the former home of Eddie Owens Martin--or St. EOM as he referred to himself. Martin was quite a character by all accounts. Born poor in rural Georgia, he ran away at 14, wound up in New York City during the 1920's, and led quite the bohemian lifestyle: over the course of his life Martin was a fortune teller, prostitute, transvestite, drug dealer, hobo and artist.

Just throught the front door of the main building you are greeted by these folks.

Martin moved back to Georgia in the 1950's and spent three decades working on Pasaquan. He would occasionally wander into town wearing an outfit like this one.

A small building just to the left of the main gates. That's Becky making her way down the steps to the right.
