Sad times. I think these things will weigh heavily on America for a long time to come and will figure prominently in future accounts of Bush's presidency.
I had planned on going to New Orleans over labor day weekend, but I wound up making plans to go and see my family in Philadelphia instead. Figured I'd get to New Orleans in October. Obviously that's not going to happen now. Unless it's in some sort of volunteer capacity or something. But for now I am headed north and will probably be incommunicado for a few days. The company and the food will be good. Hope you enjoy the holiday pals.
