My word for today: Fey. Always one of my favorites. I have always associated it with Thelonious Monk for some reason. In a sense the primary Scottish meaning strikes me as redundant: I'm pretty sure we're all doomed to die. Perhaps it's an old word for our basic existential condition? But together with that second meaning it seems to suggest other things. Perhaps those who truly grasp 1 are considered 2 by the rest of us? In any case a great word.
