Dianetics month in Calera!

Oh is this rich. The mayor of Calera Alabama unknowingly declared May to be "Dianetics month" and issued a proclamation imploring the residents of Calera "to follow Mr. Hubbard's example and strive to improve the lives of each other by working together and assisting each other to attain a brighter future." Apparently those upstanding Scientologists had requested the honor, and it was simply rubber stamped "without question or research." It would seem the mayor was unfamiliar with the followers of nutjob Hubbard, but he is going to rescind the proclamation, and may even take the radical step of reviewing such requests in the future. By the way, next Wednesday is "Trickgnosis Day" in Washacoochie Mississippi.
