Monk death day

first things first: today is the 22nd anniversary of the death of Thelonious Monk, my favorite piano player and one of the greatest American composers. I hereby declare this MONK Death Day. I suggest you celebrate as I will, and often do, in vintage Monk style: spin in circles until you are properly dizzy, then do a lilting little dervish dance while moaning/humming a tune only you can hear. Make sure it's a really good tune. When someone asks you something respond by mumbling incoherently and then laugh and shake your head. Top it all off by lapsing into a near catatonic silence for a while. Repeat. Enjoy.
